Fake e-mails try to steal your Apple ID
There is an ongoing e-mail phishing campaign targeting iTunes users. Fraudsters mimicking Apple Technical Support have two basic schemes: either they alert you that your iTunes account is blocked for some reason – they then instruct you to follow a link and verify your data to unblock the account, or they just send a fake invoice to you with a link to manage or cancel your supposed order.
As soon as you click the link, you are asked to type in your Apple account login and password. If you do so, your Apple ID will go to the criminals.
How not to fall for phishing:
•If prompted to input your Apple ID password, make sure you are on a legitimate Apple page – carefully check the URL in the browser address bar.
